The show is called Tech Interruption (#Techi) and it is awesome. Allen & Gerritsen, a marketing agency based in Boston, launched the show at SXSW on the PepsiCo Plugged-in Stage.
Each show kicks off with at least 2 pundits debating 5 social media hot topics, 1 minute each. They then do at least one 4 minute interview with social media company reps, like Foursquare, SCVNGR, or Mashable.
The show works because the analysts, like Schneider Mike (@SchneiderMike) and guests, know the industry, bring up relevant points, and spark smart discussions. There is a firm marketing foothold in the discussions, but it is also irreverent enough to keep the show fun and entertaining.
Some of the guests included hot social companies SCVNGR, Mashable, Foursquare, and even Gary Vaynerchuk (@garyvee) stopped by and faired pretty well in the social media pundit game.
