Not only are unqualified people answering questions, unqualified people are NOT answering questions. It is mind boggling how many people fail to actually answer a question within the parameters of the question when they attempt to answer a question.

SOS is just a part of human nature. We want to be “first in” and be one of the cool kids. Unqualified people are everywhere, not just Quora, in fact Twitter is chalk full of them. But isn’t Twitter kinda like a more sexy ICQ and other old chat clients? However, you also have many very smart folks on Quora, so don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.

The laws of natural selection apply equally to apps and SM as they do in nature. The strong most adaptable will survive. The others will die off, some quickly, some not so quickly.. cough *MySpace* cough.

Your advice is dead on though, “buyer” beware and we purchase with an investment of time.

    Great vid. Thanks.

Is social fresh in some way affiliated to Geek Beat TV (now Geek Brief)? That outro music sounds suspiciously like the GB prog’s theme.

Anyway irrespective of that bombshell I agree on Spike’s points (ha – geddit!). Quora IS just a ‘I’m poplar so lit’n up’ machine. But the same folks who buy ebooks will lap this stuff up. The human race doesn’t get smart just because the information is there.

    Word.

Dave, that outro music is direct from the other GB (Garage Band). And thanks for the love.
