Social Fresh Cruise - Sessions Announcement

Our goal is for the Conference Sessions to be Fresh, Forward-Thinking, and Interactive. We want the sessions to spark ideas and conversation throughout the cruise whether that be at dinner, by the pool, at the cocktail parties, at the blackjack tables, etc.. After the cruise, the #SoCruise attendees will have a distinct advantage over those who did not attend thanks to a stronger network, new ideas, and rejuvenation from a 4-day Cruise Vacation!

Four 45 minute sessions are set. We are excited to announce that Chris Brogan will do a Reverse Q&A, Greg Cangialosi will be presenting the Future Interconnectivity of Email & Social Media, Amber Naslund Building ‘Real’ Communities, Jason Keath the future Democratization of specific Industries facilitated by Social Media (a similar panel Jason is pitching for SXSW made it to #8 on the Hot List). The subject matter on these may change slightly as we get closer to the Cruise!

To insure that the content is valuable and relevant to everyone sailing on the Social Fresh Cruise, attendees will pitch Session ideas, Q&As, Panels, interviews, etc. for the remaining 4 sessions. We are going to use IdeaScale to facilitate the process. Many attendees have inquired about the opportunity to speak on the Cruise, this is your chance to speak or suggest a topic. Social Fresh Cruise Update

I just wanted to check in with all of the Social Fresh Cruise Registered Attendees, those procastinators not yet registered, and with any of you are just now checking out the Social Fresh Cruise.

Recently, there has been very few updates on the Social Fresh Cruise. With the cruise being 4 months away, those of us organizing the Social Fresh Cruise have been pretty busy with some cool stuff that is not-quite related to the Social Fresh Cruise. But everything that is going on gets me excited about the cruise because all of this effort will be focused on the cruise as it gets closer! Hopefully, it gets you excited about the huge potential of the Social Fresh Cruise!

So what is so exicting?
If you haven’t noticed, Chris Brogan is usually busy and is always working on exciting projects. This past week has been extremely exciting thanks to Trust Agents, Chris Brogan’s Co-Authored book with Julien Smith going on sale! Of course, the Social Media Community is assisting in making this book a best-seller.

No doubt Jason Keath, founder of Social Fresh, has been busy! The 1st Social Fresh Social Media Conference hosted on August 24th, 2009 in Charlotte, NC has sold out and has a huge waiting list! This shows the strength of the Social Fresh Concept that will be taken from land to the Sea on the Social Fresh Cruise! And of course I am looking forward to the great learning and networking at the 1st #SoFresh Conference, now only 3 days away.

Lastly, the Cruise in the Social Fresh Cruise (that would be me) was working hard on my recent Hawaii Cruise and can be found in this recent ABC News article on the Myths of Cruise Vacations

Unlike other conferences, you have to register for a Cruise further out in advance because cruises always sell out and we are competing for the remaining cabins with the rest of the public. Social Fresh Cruise, First-Timers

I posted the question on Twitter to Social Fresh Cruisers: How many cruises have you been on? I was a little surprised that most of the responses back were that Social Fresh Cruise will be their first cruise. It is exciting to me that social media networking is drawing our attendees to test out cruising for the first time. As long as I have been involved in Social Media, I have thought that Cruising and Social Media are like Peanut Butter and Chocolate, two tastes that taste great together. Cruising is the most social form of vacationing with the nice sit-down Dinners, Entertainment, Casino, etc. and on the Social Fresh Cruise we will have the most social people on the web. Another draw to the Cruise for first timers is the incredible value as @amberportercox pointed out.

We have not heard from everyone on the answer to the question, so Social Fresh cruisers please respond to @SoCruise with the number of cruises you have been with the #SoCruise HashTag. If you have an invite code and have not registered yet because you’ve never cruised before…don’t be scared, most of the Social Fresh Cruisers appear to be excited to be going on their first cruise!
