Carrie Peters is Vice President of Marketing and drives the marketing, public relations and social media strategy for BigDoor. Peters’ brings seventeen years marketing and public relations experience to the company with an expertise in technology, entertainment/games and consumer products.
Prior to joining BigDoor, Peters served on the executive management team at Smashing Ideas, a Seattle-based digital media agency specializing in games, sites, apps and enhanced eBooks for kids.
Peters previously served as the director of public relations for Screenlife’s revolutionary DVD board game, Scene It? Where she was instrumental in driving Scene It? The DVD Game’s worldwide marketing and PR strategy for initial product launch. Prior to Screenlife, Peters was a public relations manager with Amazon.com during the company’s unprecedented growth period. During her tenure at Amazon, Peters’ served as company spokesperson, managed corporate communications for the CEO and senior executive management team as well as played a key role in overseeing PR strategy with third parties for the company’s initiatives with Target, Toys R Us, Borders, Expedia and more. Peters’ also managed the initial product launch of the Segway to the mass consumer market as well oversaw all communications for Amazon.com’s music, video and DVD stores and the company’s five fulfillment centers located throughout the country. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Washington. Peters’ all-time favorite game is Uno and she loves to play Fruit Ninja HD with her three year old, who always beats her!
